Joy VanGilder

I am the Administrative Coordinator for Mindy Helfrich. I am the main contact for Mindy if you need to schedule appointments or have any questions for Mindy.

I was born and raised in Oskaloosa, IA, and moved to Nebraska in 1983. I had never been a "sports person", but it didn't take me long to become a Husker fan.

I have previous banking and finance experience but most recently spent 26 years in various positions in the optical industry.

I play Bunco in Lincoln once a month with friends. I am an avid reader and usually read several books a month. I also belong to a book club that meets monthly. I have discovered I do like watching sports, especially football. In addition to the Huskers, I am a Chiefs and Vikings fan (because those are the teams my sons cheer on). I also have a daughter and 10 grandchildren. My oldest grandchild is getting married on October 26th, 2024. Another one of my grandchildren is having a baby in January 2025, making me a great-grandma! My children and grandchildren all live in Lincoln so most weekends you will find me there spending time with them.
